Becoming Catholic (OCIA)

Program designed for non-Catholic adults to learn more about the Catholic religion as they discern if God is calling them to become Catholics. It's also designed for adult Catholics to prepare for receiving Confirmation.

Contact Fr. George for information about how to receive instruction on the Catholic faith so that you can take the steps towards discerning if you want to receive the sacraments to become a fully initiated Catholic. We will set up the right kind of strategy that lends to assisting you in meeting your spiritual goals.

Adult Formation

In addition to Mass, OCIA, Adoration, and podcasts - occasionally there is a Bible study series of some sort at the parish hall. There isn't a specific one planned at this point, but when there is, it'll be in the bulletin.

All adults are encouraged to look for opportunities to join a small group to study Scripture and to participate in events that build community.

CCD

Religious Education for Kindergarten through 6th grade is through the Family Faith Formation program.

The program features once-a-month large group session with parents and students on the first Wednesdays of the month at 6:15 in the sanctuary. During the weeks between those classes, there is a home lesson that is provided. The CCD year follows the school year.

Children preparing for the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation will meet twice a month on the first and fourth Wednesdays at 6:15 pm.

A monthly CCD mass will be held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

Please contact Fr. George at the rectory to enroll your children in CCD. The rectory number is (785) 258-2013.

There will be no monthly CCD mass in November.

CYO

The Catholic Youth Organization promotes community and formation among middle school and high school students of our parishes.

We are envisioning how to maintain the momentum of the program, and how to increase participation and energy among our young people.
